Firefighters from across the United States of America (including members of Wake and District) will gather together this weekend at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Maryland. This is an annual gathering honoring those brothers (and sisters) who gave their lives in service. Reflections.
On Monday, February 4, 2019 -- the sound of the bagpipes filled the air at the Raleigh Police Memorial in honor of a Raleigh Police Officer killed in the line of duty 39 years earlier. Raleigh Police Chief, Cassandra Deck-Brown reflected on the service and sacrifice of this officer. On February 3, 1980, Officer Delma D. Adams was shot and killed while making a DUI arrest. Our Mark.
In 2011 the band worked with a local Raleigh designer, Joel Perrego of VAST DESIGN on branding the band. We told Joel and his team we are a public safety bagpipe and drum band with a mission to provide a distinguishing tribute for our fallen comrades and to be in service to the families of public safety employees of the Raleigh region and across North Carolina. We desire to strengthen relations between the protective services and the public while preserving cultural heritage
