OVER THE TOP.

a Celtic Concert Commemorating the end of WW1

During World War 1 - pipers played the clarion call to arms to the men of the British Expeditionary Forces and thus were usually the first ones “over the top”. On 10 NOV we continue this call in concert.

We invite you to join together with band families, friends and fans to celebrate Celtic traditions in Raleigh on Saturday, 10 November 2018 at 6p. The concert will take place at the Christina B. Jones Theatre at Ravenscroft School located at 7409 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh.

The Band gets to share a performance to the “Home Crowd” which may not always get to hear us live.

We also are lucky to have the Erin Bartow's Highland Dancers add to the evening’s entertainment as well as Irish Step Dancing showcased by the Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance.  Special guests include the Queen City Juvenile Pipe Band from Charlotte.

INIS CAIRDE IRISH DANCERS

The mission of the Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance is to promote a love of Irish dancing and culture through classes in traditional Irish step dancing, performance and Irish dancing competition.  They have performed at every concert we've held since 2006.

RALEIGH SCOTTISH DANCE

We are so happy to be joined on stage with Erin Bartow's Highland Dancers.   Scottish Highland dances are a beautiful combination of strength, agility, movement, music, and costume. Unlike other dance forms, the Scottish Highland dances are generally danced solo and in competition. Although regularly confused with Irish Step Dancing, Scottish Highland dancing uses soft shoes, and arm positions.

QUEEN CITY JUVENILE BAND

The Queen City Pipes & Drums exists to promote excellence in music and performance, which teaches kids a lot about teamwork, dedication and hard work.  We are so excited to have these young guardians of tradition join us on stage.
